September 20, 2025, Kathmandu. The Global Peace Prayer Festival is set to be held in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.
The organizers of the Global Peace prayer Festival have stated that in a world filled with conflict, polarization and strife, hopes for a shared golden age of peace and prosperity are fading for a large portion of humanity. The Global Peace Prayer Festival in Bhutan, November 4 to 19, 2025 will bring together a unique gathering of renowned lamas from all sects of Buddhism, both inside and outside Bhutan.
The organizers expect spiritual leaders from all branches of Buddhism (Theravada and Mahayana) and all Schools of Vajrayana Buddhism to Participate, uniting their voices for the healing of humanity. The gathering will unite spiritual leaders, scholars, and practitioners from every school and medium of Buddhism, harnessing and compassionate awareness to co-create a future based on peace and happiness.
